Ohio’s Hospice Affiliates Earn National Recognition

Ohio’s Hospice Affiliates Earn National Recognition

Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County and Community Care Hospice have earned national recognition in the Hospice Honors program recognizing hospices providing the best patient and caregiver experience.

Established by Deyta Analytics, a division of HEALTHCAREfirst, the Hospice Honors annual review recognizes hospices that continuously provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. Hospice Honors acknowledges high performing agencies by analyzing performance of Hospice CAHPS quality measures. The awards are an exclusive recognition for hospices that have selected Deyta as their hospice survey partner. Deyta recognizes top performing hospices for their hard work and dedication.

Award criteria were based on Hospice CAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of October 2015 through September 2016. In order to receive the award, hospices must be currently partnering with Deyta Analytics and must have had at least one complete survey returned in each quarter of the evaluation period. Deyta Analytics identified award recipients by evaluating performance on a set of twentyfour quality indicator measures.

Hospice Honors recipients include those hospices scoring above the Deyta National Performance Score on twenty of the evaluated questions. For a hospice to be considered for the award, the hospice must have score above the Deyta National Performance Score on the Hospice CAHPS question regarding Willingness to Recommend. Hospice of Miami County has achieved qualifying standards two consecutive years. Deyta holds a special recognition, Hospice Honors Elite, to honor hospices scoring above the Deyta National Performance Score on one hundred percent, or all twentyfour, of the evaluated questions. Community Care Hospice earned this highest standard.

Both organizations are affiliates of Ohio’s Hospice, a partnership of mission-driven, non-profit hospices in Ohio committed to a shared vision of strengthening and preserving community based hospices.
