Ohio’s Hospice Staffer Receives Bouquet of Recognition Award

Ohio’s Hospice Staffer Receives Bouquet of Recognition Award

Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are honored every quarter with Bouquet of Recognition Awards for going above and beyond in representing the hospice mission and in advocating for and serving patients.

Sandy Rowlison, Manager of Patient Accounts, recently received the Carnation Award.

While the Finance Department does not have direct patient contact, the letter nominating Sandy states, there often are calls from family members regarding cost and what is covered by insurance.  “Sandy always goes above and beyond to help the families so they do not have to worry about the financial side,” the nomination notes. “Sandy is a very positive part of Hospice.  She is the definition of Ohio’s Hospice’s mission and is always kind. She is a great leader and role model”

Sandy was also praised for the constant support she offers members of her staff and her dedication to her job. “She does her best to make other’s concerns heard.  When you are talking to her, she makes you feel as though you are the most important person in the world at that moment.  It is a rare quality.  She is always willing to help and listen.  I appreciate all that she does for our department.”

We join in thanking Sandy for all she does for patients, families and her colleagues.
