Bereavement counseling professional\, Marissa Bryan\, MSW\, will lead the group. \nWHEN:\nEvery other Thursday\nThursday\, Feb. 13\, through Thursday\, April 10\, 2025\n10:30 am-Noon \nWHERE:\nOhio’s Hospice\nTruman House\, Dr. Leslie Harrold Community Campus\n716 Commercial Ave. SW\nNew Philadelphia\, OH 44663 \nTOPICS COVERED: \n\nMyths About Grief\nCommon and Normal Grief Reactions\nDifferent Grieving Styles\nThe Four Tasks of Mourning\nAcknowledging the Secondary Losses\nFactors That Influence the Grief Journey\nTaking Care of Yourself During the Journey of Grief\n\nThe Hope & Healing group provides a safe venue for sharing experiences\, discussing key challenges\, and learning about positive coping strategies along the grief journey. \nThese sessions are designed to help adult grievers understand the many nuances of grief\, help them with processing the pain\, and help them adjust to a world without their loved one. During the Hope & Healing group\, participants will identify and process many of the ways that grief presents itself. \nIt is not necessary to share openly in a group setting to receive support. DESCRIPTION:Register Online \nWHAT:\nJoin us for our annual 2025 Hike for Hospice\, a community favorite for the past 35 years. Rain\, sunshine or snow\, our hikers gather to walk in memory or in honor of a loved one. Activities for all ages including a live DJ\, food truck\, and photo opportunities. Together we walk and support the mission of Ohio’s Hospice. \nWHEN:\nSaturday\, April 12\, 2025\n9 am-1 pm\nRegistration begins at 9 am. Walk starts at 10 am. \nWHERE:\nGrace Community Church\n525 Glenn Ave.\nWashington Court House\, OH 43160 \nCOST:\nIndividual Walker (adult/youth): $15\nMemorial Signs: $6 \nSponsorship opportunities are available. Net proceeds benefit Ohio’s Hospice patient care and services. \nADDITIONAL DETAILS:\nMemorial Signs – Honor your loved one with a memorial sign. Add your loved one’s name as you want it to appear.
