Introducing Thank a Veteran Program

Ohio’s Hospice Offers American Pride® Thank a Veteran Program

Ohio’s Hospice is honored and privileged to offer as a service of our American Pride® Veteran Care by Ohio’s Hospice a new program to support Veterans in our care – Thank a Veteran. Through this new program, members of the communities served by Ohio’s Hospice and its affiliates have the opportunity to thank Veteran patients who have sacrificed and served the United States.

“This program is a way to recognize and express appreciation to our Veterans for their service,” said Bob Allen, American Pride coordinator at Ohio’s Hospice. “Ohio’s Hospice honors Veterans in our care each and every day for their service to our nation.”

Through American Pride® Veteran Care by Ohio’s Hospice, the not-for-profit hospice honors the service of its Veteran patients and assures them of receiving the highest quality of care. Throughout Ohio’s Hospice and its affiliates, staff and volunteers:

  • Celebrate Veterans for their service to our nation.
  • Thank Veterans for their service.
  • Assist Veteran patients in obtaining access to all the benefits to which Veterans are eligible.
  • Provide spiritual support.
  • Address individual post-traumatic stress issues.
  • Recognize Veterans through Veteran recognition ceremonies.

As part of its efforts to recognize Veteran patients, Ohio’s Hospice is inviting members of the communities it serves to thank Veteran patients with a personalized card.

“Your heartfelt appreciation will mean so much to our Veteran patients,” Allen said. “At Ohio’s Hospice, we believe in the importance of honoring the service of our nation’s Veterans. We appreciate your support of our Veteran patients.”

To thank a Veteran patient, please visit the Ohio’s Hospice website at: https://www.OhiosHospice.org/Thank-a-Veteran

After completing and submitting the online form with a personalized message, an Ohio’s Hospice  volunteer will write out the message on a card. The card will be delivered to a Veteran patient and their family.

Ohio’s Hospice is a partnership of mission-driven, not-for-profit hospices in Ohio committed to a shared vision of strengthening and preserving community-based hospices.
