The second Wednesday in September is always a meaningful day in Dover as Ohio’s Hospice holds its annual golf classic at Union Country Club. 

This year 36 teams and 144 golfers teed it up and raised more than $52,200 to support patient care and services for local patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. 

“All net proceeds benefit Ohio’s Hospice for patient care and services and help continue its mission of serving patients and families at the end of life,” a hospice spokesperson said. 

This year we partnered with Ferris Chevrolet Toyota for our hole-in-one sponsorship and Weininger Dental and Weaver Furniture for our putting contest sponsorships. We also added a Chinese raffle as one of the games for the day due to the large prize donations the committee was able to obtain.
