Marissa Buckles of Ohio’s Hospice Recognized With Carnation Award
Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are recognized every quarter with Bouquet of Recognition Awards. Bouquet of Recognition Award honorees personify the qualities found in the Mission and Vision of Ohio’s Hospice and are the foundation upon which a remarkable patient experience is built. These staff members consistently demonstrate excellence through their expertise and extraordinary compassionate support for patients and families. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our hospice community.
Marissa Buckles, gift and grant officer at Ohio’s Hospice, received the Carnation Award in the second quarter.
Marissa works to understand the needs of Ohio’s Hospice and seeks out grant opportunities to fill those needs. She is a staff member who gives time and attention to every part of her work.
Lisa Balster, director of patient and family support services at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, praised Marissa for her procuring funds for comprehensive education across bereavement counseling services.
“Thanks to Marissa’s efforts, we are now set to educate 30 Ohio’s Hospice staff members to be better prepared to work with grieving children and teens,” Lisa said.
Congratulations to Marissa on her Carnation Award and thanks to her for her dedication to our hospice mission.
