Matters of the Heart

Matters of the Heart Session in October Will Provide Holiday Grief Support Education to Local Clergy

The Matters of the Heart series continues on Wednesday, Oct. 30, with a session on the topic of “Supporting Those Who Are Grieving at the Holidays.”

Matters of the Heart is designed to empower clergy and lay leaders to support their faith communities through grief. This program will provide information and strategies for supporting those who are grieving at the holidays along with recommendations on ways to support grievers both as individuals and as part of a congregation. There will be the opportunity to plan your holiday support strategy as a clergy, lay person or griever as part of the training.

The day will begin at 8:30 am with registration and breakfast followed by the presentation by Kim Vesey, RN, CHPN, MS, chief mission officer at Ohio’s Hospice, from 9-11 am. The event will be in the Community Room at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio, 45420.

Registration is required for this event. To register, visit https://ohioshospice.regfox.com/2019-october-matters-of-the-heart

Additional information is available by contacting Kim Vesey at kvesey@hospiceofdayton.org or by calling 937.256.9507, ext. 4447.
