Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton to Open New Offices in Xenia
Ribbon cutting ceremony and open house planned for new location in downtown Xenia
Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton plans ribbon cutting ceremonies for the opening a new Community Team Center in Xenia. The Center is located at 32 West Main Street, Xenia. While Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton services have been available in Greene County for 38 years, the new Team Center will bring support and presence closer to home for Greene county residents. An Open House will be held from 11:30 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, April 27 to celebrate.
The new Community Team Center will increase accessibility and minimize travel, serving as a convenient center for staff members providing care to patients and families in the Greene County area. The Center enables staff members to restock supplies, attend team meetings and devote more time to patients at the bedside. According to President/CEO Kent Anderson, “Our Community and Team Centers create a more convenient and accessible point in the community for staff members who are serving patients. Staff members can spend more time at the patient bedside because they are required to travel less. Providing easier access to all our services is in keeping with our mission to provide superior care and superior services to the patients and families we are privileged to serve.”
In addition to providing meeting, office space and supply storage for staff members, the site also permits additional services to be more conveniently available to the community. Volunteer trainings, individual and group grief support programs and community meetings will all be available in the new Community Team Center. Additional Community and Team Centers are currently located in Franklin, Huber Heights, Centerville and in the Wright-Dunbar preservation area of Dayton.
