Ohio’s Hospice First Annual Golf Classic Raises $34,600 for Patient Care
Eighty-four golfers teed off for a great cause at the Ohio’s Hospice First Annual Golf Classic on June 23, 2025, at Brookside Country Club, raising $34,600 to support compassionate end-of-life care for patients regardless of their ability to pay.

The inaugural event featured exciting competition and generous community support, including a $100,000 hole-in-one challenge sponsored by Sarchione Auto Group. While no one claimed the grand prize of $100,000 toward a new car, the real winners were the patients and families who will benefit from the funds raised.
“This first annual golf classic exceeded our expectations in terms of both participation and community support,” said our spokesperson. “The $34,600 raised will directly support our mission to provide specialized, compassionate care to every patient who needs it, regardless of their financial situation.”
The success of the event was made possible through the dedication of committee members Mona Sayre, Kelsie Gunnoe and Adrianne Veatch, along with volunteers Linda Zaleski and her granddaughter Elle, and Rita Klever.
Community sponsors demonstrated strong support for Ohio’s Hospice’s mission through their generous contributions: Coolidge Wall; Sarchione Auto Group (Hole-in-One Sponsor) Provia; Burns Equipment; Stone Products Inc.; Sons of Herman; Midwestern Industries; McGohan Brabender; C.H. Vallos and Associates; and Meridian Capital Management Group Inc..
Due to the overwhelming success of this inaugural event, Ohio’s Hospice plans to make the golf classic an annual tradition, with dates for the 2026 tournament to be announced soon.
