National Children’s Health Day: Pathways of Hope Offers Grief Support for Children
Providing superior care and superior services to each patient and family doesn’t stop at the bedside. It also extends to the families and children who are impacted by loss.

Through our Pathways of Hope℠ program, we offer support and guidance to grieving children and young adults through educational experiences, including children’s grief camps, online resources and book reviews, and counseling. We also provide resources for grief and bereavement professionals on topics of grief, loss, and normalizing emotions.
Supporting children’s emotional health during grief is essential to their overall wellbeing. Here are ways to promote health and wellness for children:
- Teach your child how to check in with their body and recognize how they’re feeling.
- Schedule your child’s next check-up appointment.
- Introduce more healthy foods into your child’s diet.
- Exercise or play a sport together.
- Cook a well-balanced meal together.
- Encourage a creative activity.
- Play outside in the fresh air.
