From Fairway to Family Care: Golf Classic Tees Up $46,000 for Ohio’s Hospice
Ohio’s Hospice raised $46,000 at its annual Golf Classic held June 13, 2025, at The Links at Echo Springs in Johnstown. The event drew 95 golfers along with numerous volunteers and staff members who came together to support the organization’s mission of providing superior care and superior services to patients and families across Ohio.
The funds raised through the golf outing will directly support quality-of-life needs for hospice patients and provide vital bereavement support to their families at Ohio’s Hospice. These proceeds, along with other community support, help ensure that care is provided to any eligible patient, regardless of insurance coverage or their ability to pay.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community,” said Adrianne Veatch, event committee member. “These funds make a real difference in our ability to continue Celebrating Life’s Stories® and providing compassionate care when families need it most.”
The successful event was made possible through the dedication of event committee members Adrianne Veatch and Stacy Geller, along with volunteers including Judy and Jim Wagner, Rena Kvintus, Heather Kvintus, Trevor Embrey, Holley Tilton, Aundrea Hazen, Peggy Streby, Jo Streby, Katherine Bennet, Debbie Shelley, Lori Brown, Annette Vickers, Maria Johnson, Pam Scanlon, Gretchen Davis, Renee Sparks, and Marianne Day.
Major sponsors for the event included Licking Memorial Health Systems, Loyal Order of the Moose #499, Matesich Distributing, and Michelob Ultra. Additional support came from Coolidge Wall, The Granville Investment Group, Ideal Promotions, Valuecare, The Energy Cooperative, Huntington Bank, McGohan Brabender, First Federal Savings, Crispin Iron and Metal, State Farm Insurance, First Commonwealth Bank, Kessler Sign Company, and Middleton Senior Living.
Mark your calendars: Ohio’s Hospice has announced that next year’s Golf Classic will take place on June 19, 2026, at The Links at Echo Springs.
