Golfers Raise More Than $15k For Hospice Care In Wilmington Golf Outing
A three-decades long tradition once again took place Aug. 28 in Wilmington as Ohio’s Hospice hosted its annual golf outing.
Held at Elks 797 Golf Course, 89 golfers raised more than $15,000 to support superior care and superior services for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in our community.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in this year’s Golf Classic,” said a spokesperson for Ohio’s Hospice. “This event exemplifies the compassion and generosity of our community. Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of Celebrating Life’s Stories® by providing world-class hospice care when families need it most.”
Ohio’s Hospice extends special appreciation to Elks 797 Golf Club for graciously hosting the event and to the dedicated volunteers and committee members who made the day possible, including Kris Wright, Judy Havens, Don Fodor, Melissa Romer, and Emma Thompson, and Phil French.
Event organizers gave a huge thanks to Baylie Simpson of Wilmington Nursing & Rehab for sponsoring our snack cart and providing our golfers with snacks and hydration while on the course.
The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, led by Elks Spreading Antlers 797 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #4014. Additional sponsors included Applied Mechanical Systems, Inc., Walmart DC 7012, Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation, Economy Linen & Towels Service Inc., R+L Carriers, Court House Manor & St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington Court House, Woodhull, Bush Auto Place, Cedarvale Commons Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Edgington Funeral Homes, In Memory of Ginger Johnson, Exhibit Concepts, Presbyterian Women/Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, and Trustwell Living Bell Gardens Place.
