
Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties Helps Shine a Light on Lung Cancer
Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties in collaboration with the National Lung Cancer Alliance will host Shine a Light on Lung Cancer, an educational program on Monday, November 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The event is part of a national observance to provide hope, inspiration and support for those touched by lung cancer.
Critical Care Specialist and pulmonologist Dr. Amaresh Nath will speak on how early screening can save lives. Medical Oncologist Dr. Njeuryja Okoye will highlight advances in cancer treatment and intervention. Mayor Larry Mulligan Jr. of Middletown will also attend and will proclaim November 16 as Lung Cancer Awareness Day in Middletown.
Lung cancer survivors, people newly diagnosed, their families, healthcare professionals, and people willing to help are encouraged to attend the program at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties Team & Staff Center, 5940 Long Meadow Drive Middletown, OH 45005.
Shine a Light helps a growing community of supportive and caring individuals. The lighting of the flashlights to honor survivors and loved ones is the highlight of the evening. National title sponsor for the event is Lilly Oncology. Shine a Light is a free event open to all. Light refreshments will be served.
