Lisa Balster Among 2018 Top 25 Women to Watch

Lisa Balster, Director of Patient and Family Support with Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, was honored this past weekend as one of the Dayton area’s 25 Women to Watch.

Lisa has served in her current leadership role with Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton since 2011. A geriatric social worker and hospice supervisor, Lisa has worked in hospice care for the past 30 years.  She is interested in providing support for ethics issues, as well as being present with members of the Dayton community as they work to make healthcare choices for themselves. Lisa earned an MBA in Organizational Change from Wright State University and has a passion to understand the wellness needs of medical professionals. She also recently completed study on Compassion Fatigue and how it impacts healthcare professionals.

Lisa was among this year’s group of diverse women in business selected for the Women in Business Networking Top 25 recognition. The program of the Better Business Bureau provides forums for building relationships so women will achieve career and personal success through education, resources and recognition. The Top 25 Women to Watch awards recognize women in the Miami Valley who are exceptional in their roles and respected in their fields, who are causing more than just a ripple in the public arena and in their communities and who “light a spark” or make an impression.

Congratulations to Lisa and the other outstanding women who earned Top 25 honors this year.
