Remembering Those Who Served Our Mission
Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton recently conducted a dedication service for the new staff and volunteer memorial at the hospice house grounds. The memorial honors staff and volunteers who died during their time serving the Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton mission.
During the ceremony, there was a walk in silence in memory of former staff and volunteers as participants gathered at the memorial. The ceremony also included an opportunity for staff members to state the names of their former colleagues that they wished to remember at that time.
The memorial is focused on a circular brick walkway that reflects an artistic and environmental application of “found” and salvaged materials, a project led by Volunteer Bob Hageman.
