Troy Remembrance Walk Raises Thousands for Hospice Care
Nearly 200 members of the community took part in a special event recently to remember their loved ones.

Ohio’s Hospice held its 2026 Troy Remembrance Walk June 13, during which $20,072 was raised to help support our mission. All funds raised will be allocated to serving local patients with superior end-of-life care, ensuring that Ohio’s Hospice Troy can continue providing compassionate, comprehensive hospice services wherever patients call home.
The walk itself is designed to create a space for family and loved ones to gather and walk in remembrance of those they have lost.
Aaron Fraley from the Dayton Police Department sang the National Anthem while SMSgt Angela Alexander (USAF ret.) was honored with a Veteran pinning by Veteran volunteer Penny Adams.
Event volunteers included: Becky Schock, Melissa Romer, Adelle Kesler, Ricardo Febles, Don Fodor, LouAnne O’Neal, Tosha Reed, Jeen Snell, Peg Morelli, Robin Adams, and Sydney Munch.
We are thankful for all the event sponsors that helped with this year’s walk, and we look forward to next year’s event.
Event sponsors included: Upper Valley Medical Center, Alzheimer’s Association, Level MB, In Memory of Jon & Linda Poelking, Iron Workers Union Local #290, McGohan Brabender, and The Messenger Press
