Doug Arnett Presented Carnation Award

Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are recognized every quarter with the Bouquet of Recognition Awards for going above and beyond in advocating for and serving patients.

Doug Arnett is a member of the technology support team at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton and was nominated by a member of the nursing staff for his “exceptional kindness, compassion, honesty and servant leadership.”

“There are many examples that I could give of Doug going above and beyond to help the nurses in the field,” she wrote.  “One stands out for me: We recently had two upgrades for a software program and many staff had difficulty synchronizing after the udpates… after seeing the instructions following the second upgrade, I knew that I would have difficulty following the multistep instructions to successfully synchronize and still see my patients in a timely manner on Monday morning. Doug offered to come in on a Sunday morning to take remote control of my laptop to make the upgrades and synchronize. His help enabled me to start work on time on Monday… Doug is always helpful, never makes me feel bad about my deficiencies and always ends every communication with the message, “Take Care.”

Doug’s support for every member of the Ohio’s Hospice team helps assure the ability to deliver superior care and superior service to our patients and families. We deeply appreciate all he does in support of our hospice mission.
