Hike For Hospice Remembrance Walk Raises More Than $9K for Patient Care
In what has become a cherished tradition, the 35th annual Hike for Hospice Remembrance Walk, held recently at the Grace Community Church, drew a crowd of 110 people that gathered to honor the memory of a loved one while raising funds to support patient care and services for Ohio’s Hospice.

Special Event Coordinator, Candis Conley, said the event raised $9,340 and featured several special guests and entertainment including The Fayette County Honor Guard, the Carried Away Café Food Truck, DJ Marcus Harris, and the Washington Court House Fire Department. The crowd also was treated to a performance of the National Anthem by 11-year-old, Harlee Stevens.
Conley said the Hike is designed to create a time and place for the community to gather in unity to honor loved ones and celebrate their memories. All funds raised will be utilized to aid in providing superior end-of-life care to our local community.
Volunteers included All-N-One 4-H Club, Ohio’s Hospice volunteers and staff. We are thankful for all of the event sponsors that helped with this year’s hike, and we look forward to next year’s event.
