Kindness Connection

Ohio’s Hospice Launches Kindness Connection

Through Kindness Connection, a new program implemented at Ohio’s Hospice and its affiliates, community artisans and craftspeople can donate handcrafted items and creations for patients.

“Patients and their families appreciate thoughtfully handmade and handcrafted creations,” said Amy LeVan, director of Volunteer Services at Ohio’s Hospice. “It means a lot to them to know that others in the community are thinking about them.”

Ohio’s Hospice and its affiliates will accept cards of encouragement and blank note cards; blankets and quilts; and hand-sewn personal items. A few examples include neck pillows, gowns, positioning pillows, shirt savers, face mask covers, cloth face masks, small paintings, activity blankets and hand-crafted items. Items accepted may vary by affiliate.

While Ohio’s Hospice and its affiliates can accept these items through its Kindness Connection program, the not-for-profit hospice provider will not serve as the organizer of events or projects.

To submit a project, call your local Ohio’s Hospice affiliate’s Volunteer Services department. Please read the list below for more information.
