Pure Healthcare Facility Will Offer Services and Support for Those with Complex Illnesses

The new Pure Healthcare Center in Centerville will offer supportive care at home for those with complex illnesses.

A beam signing ceremony was held today at the construction site for the three-story, 36,000-square-foot building. The new facility is located at 2200 Miami Valley Drive.

In early 2020, the Pure Healthcare Center will open serving those with serious and chronic illnesses in their own homes. Pure Healthcare is a service of Ohio’s Hospice that will enhance the Dayton region’s continuum of health care.

Comprehensive services will be provided by a team of Pure Healthcare professionals to address complex medical conditions, multiple chronic illnesses and quality-of-life issues. The new center will serve as a medical home for patients and will combine functions of care management, rehabilitation, and social services to ensure a more holistic, wellness-centered patient experience. Pure HealthCare will ensure patients and families can rely on convenient, seamless, and continuous expert care for advancing symptoms and illnesses.

Palliative care addresses the challenges of patients with serious illness by managing symptoms and care to improve the quality of life for both patient and family. By holistically addressing the physical, spiritual and psychological needs of patients, palliative care supports patients as they receive life-prolonging or life-saving therapies. Patients with Alzheimer’s or dementia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, cancer and other illnesses may all be candidates for Pure Healthcare support.

Pure Healthcare will collaborate and coordinate with primary and other health care professionals to provide seamless transitions across health care settings and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services. Patients will benefit from around-the-clock symptom management and evidence-based protocols. Where appropriate, new technologies will be used to monitor and address patient conditions. The end result will be the empowerment of patients who help to to define their plan of care and personal quality of life goals.
