Camp Pathways Applications Now Being Accepted: Ohio’s Hospice Offering Support to Grieving Children and Teens June 20
The Ohio’s Hospice Pathways of Hope Grief Counseling Center is offering Camp Pathways, a unique experience for children and teens ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or significant loved one and are actively grieving.

Camp Pathways will be held from 9 am until 6:30 pm Friday, June 20, at the Camp Joy Outdoor Education Center in Warren County. Professional grief counselors and trained volunteers will guide participants through activities designed for those actively grieving.
Camp Pathways offers numerous benefits, including:
- An opportunity to be with other kids and teens who have also experienced the death of a loved one.
- Group support time that provides grief activities.
- Lots of fun, age-appropriate outdoor activities such as swimming, climbing wall, ropes course, and arts and crafts.
- A memorial service that honors the memory of a loved one.
“Camp Pathways creates a safe, supportive environment where young people can process grief while also enjoying typical camp activities,” said a media spokesperson for Ohio’s Hospice. “This balanced approach helps children understand they’re not alone in their grief journey.”
Ohio’s Hospice is also seeking volunteers to serve as companions for campers. Volunteers are assigned one to two children for the camp’s duration, providing a safe space for conversation, play and emotional support.
The registration deadline for both campers and volunteers is Friday, June 6. The camp is offered at no cost to participants. To register online, visit: www.OhiosHospice.org/CampJoy25
