Beyond Loss: Camp Pathways Helps Children Heal Through Music and Art
The Ohio’s Hospice Pathways of HopeSM Grief Counseling Center will host Camp Pathways – Newark, a free three-day camp for children ages 6-12 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or significant loved one.

The camp will run June 24-26 from 8:30 am-3:30 pm at the Maennerchor Newark, 195 Orchard St. Professional grief counselors and trained volunteers will lead activities including music and crafts, providing a safe environment for participants.
“At Ohio’s Hospice, we celebrate the lives of those we have the privilege of serving by providing superior care and superior services to each patient and family,” said Maria Johnson, camp coordinator. “Our Pathways of Hope grief support services extend this mission to children who have experienced loss.”
The Pathways of Hope program offers grief support services to anyone in the community, regardless of whether they have used Ohio’s Hospice care services.
Registration deadline is Friday, June 13. The camp is open to the community at no cost thanks to generous community support.
