Honor Flight at Home

Ohio’s Hospice Co-Sponsors Honor Flight at Home

Ohio’s Hospice and Honor Flight Columbus are hosting Honor Flight at Home for Veterans who are unable to travel on a traditional honor flight. The event will be held on Saturday, June 29, at Grace Polaris Church (3225 Worthington Galena Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43081). Registration begins at 1 pm, and the program is from 2 to 3 pm.

The Honor Flight at Home program is for Veterans who have not been on an Honor Flight because their health would prohibit them from doing so. The program features videos of memorials, a speaker from Lima Company and a few surprises.

Reservations are required. The deadline to register is Wednesday, June 26. To reserve a spot, call the Honor Flight Columbus office at 614.284.4987 and provide the number attending Honor Flight at Home.

Honor Flight Columbus honors our nation’s senior Veterans with a trip to Washington, D.C., to visit war memorials at no cost to them. Through Honor Flight Columbus, Veterans are able to share their stories for the benefit of future generations. The trip celebrates their homecoming, affirming their allegiance and service to the United States.

Ohio’s Hospice is a partnership of mission-driven, not-for-profit hospices in Ohio committed to a shared vision of strengthening and preserving community-based hospices. Through its affiliate members, Ohio’s Hospice serves patients and families in 37 Ohio counties.
