Ornaments Bring Peace, Comfort During Holidays
Ohio’s Hospice North Care Region provided the community with Holiday Trees of Remembrance in the communities in which we are privileged to serve.
These trees were a meaningful way for community members to pay tribute to their loved ones by creating ornaments and hanging them on a tree of remembrance. A total of 392 ornaments were placed during the 2025 holiday season.
Trees were provided by Friendtique – a non-profit boutique in Wooster that supports Ohio’s Hospice – and placed at the Gault Inpatient Pavilion, Wayne County Public Library, Orrville Public Library, and Holmes County Public Library. The staff at Truman House also placed a tree at the Truman House Inpatient Unit in New Philadelphia.
Hospice volunteers provided the ornaments and helped set up the trees at the libraries.
It was our pleasure to provide this opportunity, and we are grateful for the partnership with Friendtique in helping make this possible.
Many staff and inpatient visitors expressed the peace and comfort it brought to remember their loved ones with an ornament.
